George Montano

My name is George Montano. I was born in Northglenn, Colorado.  My wife of over 30 years and I have been blessed with four children, ranging from 17 to 28 years old. My career for over 25 years was in the IT corporate world as a project executive. I rode Harleys with the boys and was an alcoholic for just as long. As a result of my addiction and mental health issues, my family also struggled with the same types of issues. I eventually walked away from my corporate career to focus on my mental health and my family.

I am now happy to say that I am Peer Recovery Coach. I have traded in my Harley for a mountain bike and have lost over 70lbs.  I love to bike, hike, snowboard, disc golf, play music, write and most of all spend time with my family and close friends. My passion now is sharing my experience and helping others through this life journey of recovery and healing.
